Summer job as hotel and restaurant staff at Finnlines in Malmö!

Are you service-oriented, enjoy a varied work environment, and want to try something completely new? Then a job at sea might be for you!

Finnlines is looking for seasonal staff for our ships departing from Malmö. You will work on board in an engaged team and have the chance to develop within both hotel and restaurant operations at sea.

To be able to work at sea, certain safety training is required, which we offer during the spring. If you already have Basic Safety, Crowd Management, Maritime Security, and Health Certificate, you can start working immediately!

About the role

As part of the catering department, you will work within both hotel and restaurant operations on board. Your tasks include:

  • Serving and customer interaction in the restaurant and café
  • Cleaning of public areas and cabins
  • Handling and distribution of goods
  • Collaboration with colleagues to create a pleasant and efficient work environment
  • Ability to be away from home for extended periods

During your shifts, you will stay in your own cabin on board. Regular staff works two weeks on board and is then off for two weeks. For temporary positions, different schedules may apply.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, has a problem-solving mindset, and a good ability to see where you are needed. You are service-minded, responsible, and have a positive attitude.

Qualifications

  • 3-year high school education (preferably focused on hotel, restaurant, or service)
  • Experience in cleaning, restaurant, hotel, retail, sales, or other service professions
  • Swedish and English are required
  • Knowledge of Polish and/or German is a plus
  • We prefer that you live in Malmö or nearby
